Bill Gurley

Description

Bill Gurley, born October 25, 1939, in Oklahoma City, shared his life story with Regan Siler. Bill's parents, Neva Matilda Carmen Gurley and Arthur Eulus Gurley, were educators. Bill helped his father on their 500-acre farm. He attended Bristow Public Schools, where he was influenced by several doctoral degree teachers. Bill pursued a career in mathematics, earning degrees from the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University. He worked in operations research, founded Petroleum Marketing Research Company, and later became a state representative. Bill and his wife, Peggy, have seven children and many grandchildren. He retired in 2009 and enjoys remodeling projects.
